1.  New Online Networking!  Join our New Yahoo Group

Come join our online community – a great way to share information, ask for recommendations, share a hot tip or great find, advertise interesting events/activities for families, etc.  It’s easy!  Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/westseapeps and click the box that says “Join this Group” - then follow the instructions to join.  Let’s make it a lively and helpful virtual gathering place.  Hope to “see” you there!

2.  Exciting News from PEPS

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has formally announced a new investment in PEPS! The Foundation has pledged $175,000 towards’ PEPS core programming and future planning. This grant signals a critical show of support from the philanthropic community.

This pledge includes a fundraising challenge that will allow donors to join the Foundation in supporting PEPS with gifts of $1,000 or more before October 15. The match applies to gifts from new donors, as well as to pledge payments from current supporters.  This is an exciting opportunity to welcome more PEPS supporters to the major donor level as well as to see our current donors’ gifts have twice the impact! For more information, visit www.pepsgroup.org or call the PEPS office at 206-547-8570.

3.  Expecting Baby #2 or Have Newborn Twins?

PEPS has a group just for you!  Check the PEPS website for more information about these specially-focused groups.  Using the newborn model of meeting in group members’ homes (both of these groups will be daytime groups) with support from a volunteer trained PEPS facilitator, these groups help bring folks together with special interests.  These are not West Seattle-specific groups; they are open to all Seattle and Eastside families.  For more information, visit www.pepsgroup.org or call the PEPS office at 206-547-8570.
