5.  Pathways Lecture Series:  Babies and the Brain:  Truths, Myths and Politics

ParentMap presents the 2007 Lecture Series!  Dr. Andrew Meltzoff, Ph.D. and Dr. Patricia Kuhl, Ph.D. are researchers at the University of Washington and co-founders of UW The Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences.  They are studying one of the great wonders of humanity: the baby. Their research has reinforced what every parent knows—that the more you talk and read to your child—the faster the brain develops language, and they’ve discovered new information about second language learning and social-emotional development. Learn what Dr. Kuhl and Dr. Meltzoff have learned about babies and their brains, and how parents can better understand and nurture the magical years of babyhood.

Tickets for this event are $18 in advance/$20 at the door.  Visit the ParentMap website for more information about the Pathways Lecture Series and to buy tickets online: http://parentmap.com/pathways.htm
