families! 1. New Specialty Groups at
PEPS PEPS
is sponsoring two new specialty groups: Postpartum Adjustment Support Group,
which will meet monthly at the PEPS office in Wallingford (http://pepsgroup.org/programs/postpartum.htm
for more info) and Second Time
Around, a newborn group for parents with newborns and small
children. This group will
meet for 16 weeks at the North Seattle Family Center in Shoreline (more
info: http://pepsgroup.org/programs/secondtime.htm). 2. Community Calendar on WS PEPS

A new feature launched in December is the Community
Calendar – check it regularly to find out about what’s
going on in the West Seattle area:

list, just let us know. 3. Rainy Day Event for
Pre-Schoolers Beat
the winter blues at the Mercer Island Preschool Association’s 35th Annual
Rainy Day Event for Preschoolers!
Four hours of entertainment and crafts for children ages 3-8 and
their families; the theme is “Health & Well-Being”. Find out more at
www.MIPreschoolAssociation.org/rainyday.htm. Admission for non-MIPA members is
$6 per child (adults are free!). Saturday

Island 4. Community Pancake
Breakfast Come
to Hiawatha Community Center and enjoy a wonderful breakfast with your
family and friends. The breakfast includes all you can eat pancakes,
sausage, ham, bagels, fruit bar, coffee, hot chocolate and juice. All
proceeds will benefit our youth basketball program. Please call the center
if you would like to volunteer for this community event. Ticket prices $4.50 for adults and
big kids and $3.50 for kids ages 4 and under. Hiawatha

–12:00noon 5. Come Bowling With
Us! Join
with fellow PEPSters for a night out at the lanes! Let’s get together for some fun
& socializing. We have
reserved a few lanes at West Seattle
Bowl on Friday March 3rd at 8pm. Cost
is $5/person and covers the cost of bowling. You will be responsible for the
cost of your own shoes ($1.50) and any refreshments. Please reply to Jane Wainwright
by Friday February 24 (wainwright@seanet.com) if you can
join us – we need a minimum of 15 to secure our reservation and if we get
an enthusiastic turnout we will reserve more
