1.  Westside Baby Needs You and Your Clothes!

The shelves are starting to look bare … Westside Baby is experiencing a very large increase in requests for baby/child clothing and baby equipment. If you have time, please gather your children's gently used and outgrown clothing, toys, strollers, high chairs, front packs, etc., and bring them to Westside Baby or one of their drop-off locations (Again and a Gain, West Seattle Kids Salon, Fauntleroy Children's Center, Fauntleroy YMCA/Church, or B-Town Scoop) at your earliest convenience.

Save the Date … Westside Baby’s 6th Annual Valentine Benefit Tea is scheduled for Sunday February 11.  Table Captains, Table Hostesses, and Volunteers for this event are all wanted and needed.  Contact Megan Simmons (nutmeg@nwlink.com) for more information.

Diaper Drives are happening at Viking Bank in West Seattle and B-Town Scoop in Burien during the month of December.  Stop by and drop off some diapers, or get in to the giving spirit and host your own Diaper Drive.  More info available at www.westsidebaby.org.

3.  Nurturing Pathways Series at the West Seattle & Fauntleroy YMCAs

Nurturing Pathways® is an early childhood creative dance program promoting healthy development and strong bonds between parent and child.  Sessions are starting up again here at the West Seattle & Fauntleroy YMCAs for babies, waddlers, and toddlers.  The sessions are 8 weeks long; baby & waddler classes are 45 minutes and toddler classes are one hour in length.

You may register and pay at either YMCA for either location.  Sessions begin the week of January 8; 8-Week sessions are $85.00 (Members) & $95.00 (Program Members) plus a one-time materials fee of $30.00 for the Parent Pack

Please contact either of these YMCAs for further info and schedules or go to: www.nurturingpathways.com

4.  Babysitting Co-op

Looking to solve the babysitter dilemma?  Try a babysitting coop. Learn from moms who started a co-op that has been running successfully for almost five years. We will go over how to recruit members, how many members are needed, how to pay out and earn points for sits, how to do daytime and evening sits. We used the book “The Smart Mom’s Baby Sitting Co-op Handbook” as our guide, but made many adjustments over the years including reverse sits and even overnight sits. Join us to learn more about starting your own babysitting co-op.
