PEPS is looking for Group leaders for newborn groups in West Seattle
Now that the holidays are over, please consider leading a PEPS Group! We have new parents anxiously awaiting the start of their groups - if you remember how valuable your own PEPS experience was, please consider volunteering to lead a PEPS Group in West Seattle.
PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support) has been supporting new parents in West Seattle for over 27 years, and our Newborn program relies on volunteers to facilitate peer support groups in your community. A commitment of 12 consecutive weeks is necessary (fewer if you co-lead a Group with a friend, spouse or partner). Experience with new parents and infants is very helpful and preferred, but not an absolute must.
PEPS provides specialized training that helps volunteer leaders create an informal, positive, and accepting atmosphere in their Groups. Volunteers have access to experienced PEPS staff mentorship while they are volunteering.
For more information on leading a PEPS Group, please visit our website or contact PEPS Volunteer Manager Cate Palmer at catep@peps.org.
